4D Infield Personnel & QC
The 4D specialist's role encompasses all parts of the project including pre-survey meetings, survey start-up, ongoing acquisition, infield QC and 4D communications. The 4D specialist will ensure the monitoring of all 4D aspects of the survey including:
- Having full working knowledge of the 4D plan before going to the field, and implement the plan using technology such as Osprey feather matching - shown below
- Performing all relevant 4D QC as the survey progresses,
- Liasing with onboard crew, oil company representative, the contractor navigation department and the oil company acquisition/asset team throughout the project
- Updating the Web-based GIS server so all stakeholders can view and analyse the current status of the project
4D Remote Acquisition QC
RIL will provide an onshore QC system to monitor the 4D acquisition. The system will incorporate mapping, repeatability, coverage and documentation.
P1/90 data acquired in the field will be uploaded to RIL for processing and analysis. At the agreed frequency a full set of 4D repeatability attributes will be generated for analysis by RIL. The results will be uploaded to our Web based GIS server for immediate online access for all relevant stakeholders. Conference calls can be arranged at requested intervals to discuss the results in relation to the ongoing survey planning.
